In the race to land more and more subscribers, up until now it’s basically been all about which service can offer more movie channels, a better price, or more high definition programming. But lately there’s been a battle shaping up with Dish Network vs Direct TV slugging it out to go after the family market. Households with young children are huge consumers of TV programming (for better or worse, you be the judge). And this fact isn’t lost on the powers that be within both companies. Expect to more of an emphasis on this kind of thing in the weeks and months to come.
