Merchant accounts are a great way to build your online business, but another way you can look at them is like they are a customer happiness insurance policy. Imagine someone shopping your site. They navigate through the various pages and along the way put some items into their shopping cart. So they head to the checkout lane and start entering their shipping and billing information. Then they get to the payment page and they get stopped in their tracks because they can’t use their credit card to pay for their purchase.
