I believed art was a passion and that no one was going to pay for me to sell them my work. I was wrong. While it is difficult to establish a career in fine arts, graphic design allows you to make money. You can go to school to get a degree in graphic design.
Being in graphic design allows you to earn your living as an artist. You can use your layout and artistic skills in your daily work. You will also make some great contacts. You then have the opportunity to work with other great artists and galleries.
Being an artist won’t be sufficient for a career in graphic design. You really need to attend a good graphic arts school to get a good job. The field is saturated and the competition is stiff.
